About
Benjamin Woodburn is a Lincoln, Nebraska technology leader and project manager whose work centers on building and improving software for financial services and enterprise operations. With more than 15 years of experience in software architecture, implementation, and support, he has developed a reputation for guiding complex initiatives from planning through delivery while aligning technical execution with business objectives.
At Sandhills Global, Mr. Woodburn manages projects involving financial platforms, internal systems, and client-facing solutions. He collaborates closely with stakeholders to define requirements, set priorities, and coordinate cross-functional development teams on projects of varying scope and scale. His portfolio includes directing the transition of more than 2,000 internal applications from a legacy environment to a modern framework, an effort that required broad rewrites and adoption of a new programming language. He has also led the development of financial reporting tools and ACH and wire processing applications that supported the launch of the Currency.com platform, along with workflow improvements tied to payroll, billing, and operational planning.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Woodburn maintains involvement with the Project Management Institute, reflecting his commitment to leadership and best practices in the field. He earned an associate degree in computer information systems from Southeast Community College, a BBA from York University, and an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he concentrated on international business and finance. Outside of work, he enjoys training his dogs, Shiloh and Skye, in agility, scent work, tracking, and obedience.
